2018/2019 Community Education Program Applications Open
We are now inviting applications from worthy not-for-profit organisations for grants of up to $50,000 from Ansvar’s annual $250,000 Community Educations Program (CEP).
THE CEP grants support sustainable programs for Australians under the age of 25, promoting on-going education and skills to make a significant improvement to the lives of participants.
Ansvar chief executive Warren Hutcheon said the CEP grants were purposely focused on helping the young.
“We want to provide valuable support to improve and enrich the lives of young people so they may be able to contribute positively to the community in which we all live.”
Since the grants were first awarded in 1994, Ansvar has contributed more than $10 million to education and life skills programs reaching thousands of young people across Australia.
Applicants need to show that their programs support Australian youth in one of two categories:
– Empowerment and Education, or
– Outreach and Support
Applications can be made by going to: www.ansvar.com.au/community-education-program
Applications close on Monday 15 October 2018.
Many Australian not-for-profit organisations, big and small, have received grants over the years to help fund or fully fund their projects.
WA’s Ocean Heroes Surf Safety Program for autism sufferers was able to fund a van for its 2018 program, pictured with our WA State Manager Grant Bowen.
“This grant will provide Ocean Heroes with a set of wheels, allowing us to become a more mobile unit and completely self-sufficient,” said Ocean Heroes co-founder Sam Moyle.
“It gives that helping hand to grow as a charity, allowing us to host more regional events throughout Western Australia.”
Hunter Life Education in Newcastle is providing an education program for 1800 students thanks to their 2018 Ansvar Grant.
“The funding from ANSVAR will allow us to deliver a specialised program to students who are most at risk,” said Hunter Life Education Executive Officer Sarah Gray.
“This aligns perfectly with our objectives of providing learning modules in partnership with schools to give students the best life education advice possible.”
