General Insurance Code of Practice

The General Insurance Code of Practice sets out minimum standards of service that consumers can expect from insurers that have adopted the Code. Ansvar Insurance Ltd has adopted the General Insurance Code of Practice, and by doing so, has agreed to abide by it.

The standards covered by the Code comprise of many aspects of a consumer’s relationship with their insurers. They include buying and renewing insurance, claims handling, providing options for those who are experiencing financial hardship, and complaints handling.

The Code Governance Committee is an independent body that monitors and enforces insurers’ compliance with the General Insurance Code of Practice, to drive better Code compliance.
